Submit an essay, no more than 500 words, regarding the following scenario:

A congressman from your state, who has been an outspoken critic of abortion and voted against "right to choose" legislation, supported his 16-year daughter's decision to have an abortion.

In your essay, address the following:

You have two reliable sources willing to go on the record in the above situation. How will you pursue the story? Why? When does the free flow of information that serves the public good outweigh the rights of an individual's personal privacy? This is a balancing act journalists face regularly.
